All you need is a laptop/desktop computer, a webcam and a stable internet connection. You will also need to have access to a quiet room away from any disturbances.
You will receive a download version of the same course material that is provided on our classroom courses.
No, the content is exactly the same as the classroom-based course, the only difference is the delivery method of the course and that your assessment at the end of the course will be conducted online.
Your exam will be conduced using an online examination tool, you will need to show your ID to the invigilator through your webcam prior to the examination. The exam will be invigilated by your trainer. All other exam conditions apply as per Hurak T&C.
You will need to fill out editable PDF documents which will need to be emailed to Hurak during the course along with a valid CITB SSSTS certificate, you do not need to post anything to us in the mail.
Your course will be delivered using video conferencing, we use several online training providers such as Zoom, WebEx and Google Hangouts. Before your course, you will be sent all the joining instructions.
If you fail, you will be allowed to resit the exam on the same day free of cost.
The SSSTS course is part of CITB's site safety plus scheme, the CSCS scheme is a separate scheme. Site supervisors are expected to have a gold supervisor's card whilst working on a construction site, as well as, having an SSSTS qualification. To get a CSCS gold card you need a relevant Construction Supervisor/Technical related NVQ/SVQ level 5, 6 or 7 and pass the CITB Supervisor and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test.

The SSSTS virtual refresher course will still run for one day, with 7.5 hours of study per day. You will be given two fifteen-minute breaks and one thirty-minute lunch each day. You will need to complete the full course to be eligible for certification.
