HSE stipulates that the Emergency First Aid qualification is suitable for staff who work in a 'low risk' environment such as an office or shop, they also recommend that at any given time there should not be over 25 individuals at the venue otherwise the 3-day First Aid qualification will be required in order to maintain the health and safety of both employees and the general public. We recommend the 3-day First Aid at work qualification to anyone where this is a feasible option because the 3-day First Aid at work course includes the content covered in the 1-day Emergency course but also enables the first-aider to recognise and administer first aid in more serious scenarios, so even if this is not something you need now, it will stop you from having to come back and do the 3-day course in the future if it becomes a requirement for your profession.
Distance learning refers to a method of studying without the student needing to attend a school or training session. Our 3-day First Aid course is delivered through a mixture of both classroom, face-to-face training as well as distance learning where delegates are expected to take a workbook along with course materials home before returning for the final day of the training course to sit the practical and theory assessments, this means that the 3-day training course can now be delivered over 2-days of classroom training and 1-day of self-study at home. This style of course delivery is useful for candidates who need the First Aid at work qualification but was unable to dedicate a full 3-days to it but can now complete the course through distance learning.
If you are unsuccessful in passing the exam at the end of this course you will be offered a free resit exam on the same day, hence our extremely high pass rate.
