After completing the 3-day training course, certificates are ready within 7-10 working days with the default same-day results service. You can apply for the badge on the SIA website as soon as you receive the certificate. SIA will check the information you have given them against the information they hold and information held by other government agencies. They will use all of that information to decide whether you meet their published licensing criteria. SIA can take up to 25 working days to evaluate your application and send the badge to your house. If they judge it necessary to refuse your licence application they will write to you to explain why; you will then have 21 days from the date on their decision letter to provide a response.
