The Level 2 CCTV Operator course is an accredited qualification which has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the necessary skills and knowledge for those who wish to apply for an SIA licence and work as a CCTV Operator.The SIA stipulate; for you to complete the Level 2 CCTV Operator course in just 3 days, instead of their new minimum course duration requirement of 4 days, you must complete some distance learning BEFORE you attend the first day of the course. Upon booking this course with us, you will be emailed all the course resources which you MUST study. No, the badge is issued by the SIA (Security Industry Authority), however, to be able to apply for the badge, candidates must successfully complete the relevant training from an approved training provider and get a certificate for the qualification first.
The licence application fee is £190 for a three-year licence. Some people may need more than one licence, for example, a Door Supervisor and CCTV licence; in such cases, the second licence will be discounted by 50%.
After completing the 3-day training course, certificates are ready within 10-15 working days or 7-10 working days if you choose our same-day results service. You can apply for the badge on the SIA website as soon as you receive the certificate. SIA will check the information you have given them against the information they hold and information held by other government agencies. They will use all of that information to decide whether you meet their published licensing criteria. SIA can take up to 25 working days to evaluate your application and send the badge to your house. If they judge it necessary to refuse your licence application they will write to you to explain why; you will then have 21 days from the date on their decision letter to provide a response.

SIA have set minimum guided learning hours for all their qualifications, they are extremely strict and make no exceptions when it comes to course timings, people who start later/finish earlier than the advertised timings will be removed from the course.
The SIA CCTV Operator qualification is made up of 3 units, if you are unsuccessful in passing any of these units, you do not have to sit the training again and will only need to retake the exam(s) that you have failed in, you can book a resit by calling our office line and speaking to a member of staff.
You don't need any prior knowledge or qualification to be eligible for this training course.
